Purpose
The purpose of the Inventory Responsible is to ensure inventory accuracy by verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing items for shipment following the company’s policies, procedures and quality standards.
This position demands a highly organized personality, and our ideal candidate has considerable prior professional experience in warehouse management, shipping, and logistics. You also need strong leadership skills

Accountabilities
The Inventory Responsible is accountable for managing incoming and outgoing supplies and products.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and compare items to Purchase Orders in NetSuite ERP
- Count and/or measure items in an imperial or metric system to ensure that the correct amount has been received.
- Allocate in the warehouse the shipment once the goods have been verified.
- Determine storage areas for incoming shipments and allocate appropriate space within the warehouse.
- Physically move incoming items to designated storage areas and storage activities.
- Picking activities and issuing the corresponding materials to Work Orders in NetSuite; maintaining at all moments the traceability on all the materials.
- Ability to operate forklifts to pick heavy boxes and transport them to checking areas.
- Handle returns and exchanges by ensuring that reverse distribution processes are followed properly.
- Ascertain that all incoming and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment.
- Select the method of consignment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pickup.
- Compare the amount and identification numbers of goods against orders.
- Post weight and shipment charges.
- Maintain files of shipping records.
- Trace missing or lost shipments.
- Assemble wood and cardboard containers or pick pre-assembled containers.
- Attach identifying information and delivery instructions on containers.
- Organize records of goods shipped.
Knowledge, skills, competencies
- At least three years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse management.
- High school education and three years of factory-related experience
- Good computer skills (Microsoft, scanning, etc)
- Strong communication and organizational skills and excellent multitasking abilities
- Ability to stand, crouch, and lift objects throughout a normal workday
- Close attention to detail
- Hazmat Shipping Certification.
- Licensed forklift truck operator
